Embodiment + Mindful Movement

“Within my body are all the sacred places of the world, and the most profound pilgrimage I can ever make is within my own body.”
— Saraha

Our worthy bodies are waiting for us to listen

“Within my body are all the sacred places of the world, and the most profound pigrimage I can ever make is within my own body.”

These miraculous bio-machines deserve our kindness, patience, love + acceptance. This is true no matter our bodies' state of health or illness, no matter its size, strength or flexibility.

I came to mindful movement + meditation during the process of a transformational 100lb+ weight loss. With more than 10 years of personal yoga practice, I am 200-hour yoga teacher certified through Sola school of Contemplative Arts with Sarah Trelease + Renee Sills as my teachers. I am proud to offer somatic guidance informed by Sola's methodology of Inclusive Practices—movement insistently tailored to meet the needs of every unique body.

It does not matter what our external shapes look like or the perfection of our forms. What matters is the quality of our listening—how deeply we can travel into our bodies with openness + receptivity to bring the wisdom we carry back to the surface of our living.

the poetics of movement

Yoga is spelunking for the caverns of my fingertips, rooting for the crater depths of these hips. Being embodied, all the way, present to every sensation, united inside + out. Removing the mind limitation that there is an up or a down. A fully intimate romance with gravity. Small connections that create a vastly different future. Whole made of uncountable pieces.

I approach somatic practices as a place of honest return + worship—a space that nurtures remembrance of the life force we truly are + proves the power we may wield when we show up all the way.

In addition to group circles, I work with people 1-on-1 as well as in small private groups to offer guided somatic exploration.
